Privacy policy

Data categories

• Account information such as name, phone number, language, and user profile data
• Usage data such as tontines, invitations, payments, histories, and merchant credit activity
• Technical data such as device details, diagnostics, and error logs required to run and secure the service

Sensitive permissions

• Camera: used only to scan QR codes for joining a tontine, making a payment, sharing a profile, or identifying a merchant customer
• Contacts: used only if you choose to find contacts already on Tonty or invite people you know
• Microphone: used only when a merchant records a voice message for the Tantie Tonty assistant or listens to a voice reply
• Location: used only with your permission to show nearby merchants

These permissions are not used continuously in the background, and you can revoke them from your device settings.

How data is used

• Create, secure, and operate your account
• Enable tontines, invitations, payments, credits, and related history
• Power QR, contacts, voice assistant, and location experiences when you choose to use them
• Improve reliability, security, and product performance

Sharing and protection

Tonty shares data only when needed to provide the service, comply with the law, or work with trusted providers such as hosting, analytics, notifications, and error monitoring. Tonty does not sell personal data.
